The exhibition brings together works that reveal Pham Luan's youthful vision of a city rich in energy and creativity, despite the great challenges the city has endured such as the two-year lock down during the Covid 19 pandemic. Witnessing the gradual revival of Sai Gon right after the city lifted the social distancing order, artist Pham Luan felt strong inspiration to capture the rhythm of the city in each and every precious moment.

All paintings for the calendar this year will be exhibited at the headquarter of Nhan Dan Newspaper. These paintings were also auctioned online to raise fund for children affected by Covid-19.

Tien Phong Online Newspaper is hosting an online auction of 12 paintings by 12 Vietnamese artists. The auction starts at 11 a.m. Saturday (August 28, 2021), ending at 11 a.m. Sunday (August 29, 2021). All proceeds from the auction will support the front lines fighting the epidemic.
Hanoi in Memory
"Hanoi in Memory", oil painting, size 70 cm x 80 cm, is a work of artist Pham Luan featuring in this auction. “The work was painted in 2019, based on a sketch I made in the 80s.” Pham Luan revealed.
All proceeds from the auction will support the front lines fighting the epidemic.
The Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) has organised an art exhibition to honour and to introduce artists who have affirmed their names in the domestic and international art market. Artist Pham Luan is among the 19 artists who works are exhibited.
